Connexa prides itself on its remote team culture and celebrating small wins with our team. Our founding team, composed of women in STEM from around the world, is very close knit. Our amazing UX/UI designer, Hannah, who has been with us from the start, is moving on from her journey at Connexa. Although we are so sad to see her go, we wish her continued success as a talented designer. We sat down with Hannah to ask her a few questions about her experience at Connexa.
How would you describe your experience at Connexa?
My experience at Connexa was amazing - It was my first UX/UI job right after my UX Bootcamp and I’m really glad that I reached out to Maria. For the last 3 months, I learned a lot from Maria and the team in terms of the business perspectives which I wasn’t able to learn through the Bootcamp, and it has helped me grow as a designer.
What was your favourite part about being at Connexa?
The inclusivity and supporting team. I often have anxiety about my design work because I think my work is not good enough. At Connexa, it's impossible to think that way, as the team wouldn't let me think that way - they always told me "your design/work is beautiful", "I've never worked with a designer who's as talented as you are". It helped me A LOT to grow my self-esteem and confidence in my work.
How would you describe the culture at Connexa?
Growing both professionally and personally - the team values it immensely. During my time at Connexa, I attended a few skill share sessions, that were held by Maria and Muriam, which allowed me to grow not only as a designer but also as a person.
What are you going to miss most?
The team I’m never going to forget how smart, sweet, supportive, and inspirational everyone is!!
What are you off to next?
Sadly (but also excitingly), I am going back to South Korea after living in Canada for 5 years by myself. Also, I’m going back to school to learn UX/UI Design on a deeper level! If I were to come back to Canada in the future, I would more than love to come back to Connexa 😄
We can’t wait to cheer you on Hannah in everything that you accomplish!
